Diversity and Inclusion is deeply rooted in our Purpose, Values and Principles. It is who we are and who we aspire to be.
Every P&G employee is equally talented in unique ways. Beyond the visible differences, we come from diverse traditions, personal experiences and points of view. That’s why, in our increasingly interconnected world, it is only appropriate that we celebrate everyone’s uniqueness, every day.
We’re committed to creating a winning culture where colleagues and managers genuinely are concerned for one another. Everyone’s full engagement is expected to ensure we deliver on our mission in every facet of our business. Diversity & Inclusion is implicit in P&G’s Purpose, Values and Principles and explicit in P&G’s business strategies.
We believe that fostering a supportive, encouraging and inclusive environment can inspire every employee to bring his and her personal best. To win, we must value, respect and include the people who make P&G possible.
P&G is committed to providing equal opportunities in employment. This means we must treat our fellow P&Gers and P&G applicants fairly and refrain from engaging in any form of unlawful discrimination. We follow all related laws in our employment decisions (such as recruiting, hiring, training, salary and promotion). We do not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, gender, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, citizenship, disability or any other legally protected factor.
To support our diverse workforce, P&G's affinity groups offer an internal forum for employees to connect and build a strong sense of community as well as have the opportunity to deliver great business results.
Affinity groups in Canada include The Women's Network, Asian Professional Network, The Black Network, GABLE (Gay, Ally, Bisexual, Lesbian and Transgender Employees), The French Network and The Latin Network. P&G Canada has been recognized as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers.
In addition to supporting P&G employees, our networks also strive to benefit others in the community. Founded by two women from P&G Canada, with the support and guidance of P&G Canada’s Women’s Network senior executive sponsors, Forward Together is an association of committed organizations whose vision is to bring companies and professional women together to share best practices and resources to enable best-in-class learning across industries. Whether it's world-class training, top-notch speakers or excellent facilities, we believe that the exchange of ideas between companies can benefit in improving the lives of women within our greater community.
Our brands also support inclusion efforts, especially in the area of women's and girls' empowerment. For the past 30 years, our Always brand has been providing educators and teachers in Canada and around the globe with puberty education to millions of adolescent girls to help grow their confidence. The Always #LikeAGirl movement has won numerous awards and helped to address negative stereotypes and redefined the phrase “like a girl” as being strong and powerful.
